I discovered our problem 2,500 miles from home. Just switch to your spare and enjoy the rest of your trip. That worked for me.

Same thing happened to us. We changed to the spare. Upon returning to Mesa we contacted Dexter. They shipped us a new Axle and also sent us a refund on a new tire. Must have been an issue with several 2021 year models. It's what I've seen on this site anyway.

No, it's not restricted to 2021 models. My 2019 required a replacement also.

But the frequency of these claims does seem to be increasing over the years.

Both axles were replaced in our 5.0 by 7,500 miles. Dexter sent new axles, paid for the install and for two tires.

When we sold the trailer at 44,000 miles pulling down the road I put new tires on since we travel too far and hate flats, so we got at least 37,000 miles on the existing tires. They were worn evenly, but I was uncomfortable with the remaining tread.

We had to replace an axle on our 2019 E-21 under Dexter warranty. Dexter paid for the axle and installation but would not reimburse us for the tire damage.
