Tongue Jack

the manual tongue jack on my E21 is broken, the bushing that the hand crank pivots on keeps falling out and appears to be broken off inside

I'd install an electric one, but it wouldn't clear my tailgate, and I don't mind the exercise.

(note the bushing hanging on the bottom of the crank?)_

(bushing manually pushed back into place, where it will stay for 2-3 cranks before falling out again and derailing the crank)

having trouble locating this exact jack, and not sure what size or lift amount I need? it measures about 14.5" from the top of the mounting plate to the top of the jack gearbox.

Replacement Tongue Jack

I can't find that brand either but I found this Bulldog at Etrailer with what appear to be similar specifications:

Alternatively, call ETI and see what they use.

The jack is universal in that a replacement from Amazon would work. verify capacity range.....
https://www.amazon.com/Lippert-28542...ps%2C78&sr=8-3
If you were closer I would give you one, I have a couple of extras.....

Etrailer has a jack that looks very similar with what look to be similar specks. It's a Bulldog:

Clears my tailgate and gives me the choice of power or manual.

Cross pin; cross pin, thrust washers.

I use the drill, not the impact drill. My theory is that if you need to use an impact drill, especially on the stabilizers, then it's time to service them.

I'd be curious to know if your new one has a bushing at the rear.

John - my Black Diamond tongue jack on my 2017 E21 just failed and I'm looking for a replacement. Saw you got this one and was wondering how it worked for you?

Thanks

Chuck

It worked great til I had a hitch accident leaving my driveway and bent it. I replaced it with https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004IYC5HU which also works well.

I leave this foot on it ..

John - replaced the failed Black Diamond tongue jack on my E21 with the one you recommended: Curt 28204 from Amazon. It was a quick, easy job and seems to work great. Thanks for the suggestion.
