Heat strip

I think I am having a issue with the A/C and furnace.
When I start the furnace for heat on the electronic thermostat there is furnace and another one for heat strip. I use the furnace one but the a/c comes on as well at times but not always.
Would like to just have the furnace come on as its warmer and much quieter.
Any ideas. This is a 2021 17B unit.

I’m not sure of the thermostat now being installed, but the Dometic thermostat ETI used in 2015 has a fan setting. It had to be set to auto. If set to high or low, A/C and furnace could both come on at same time.
