Thanks!
Yes, kinda, they will open a very little, enough to vent the head. Also, you need to make sure the windows are closed before retracting the awning or you could break the windows. On the up side I think the opening is the same, or close, Sq inch and you can leave the windows open when its raining, even hard rain. We opted for the frameless for the pro reasons.

I configured my 19 with framed sliding windows combined with the optional frameless split-venting rear window.

I think this offers the best of both worlds. The framed windows provide a large opening and don't interfere with the awning. However, I can leave the rear windows open and roof fan running to maintain good ventilation when it's raining .

Perhaps the trimming of the opening in the FG is due to the fact that Arctic Tern windows dimensions are in MM vs. inches for the Hehr/Lippert windows?

Great solution.

Power awning does not interfere with any windows. . .

It sounds like I’ll get the same amount of air flow either way. That’s what is most important to us. May just go framed as it’s cheaper. We live in Utah so it rains about 5 minutes every once in a while.
. Kind of funny but right now we are in Utah and it’s raining hard!

We have a 19 and they used to let you split the window options. We got frameless on the drivers side, and opted for sliders on the awning side since we had heard you can't open the frameless if you have the manual awning.
Now that we've had it awhile, I wish we got frameless all around, as it appears we have 1.5" gap between the glass and the awning arm that we could use to open the frameless before it hits the awning if we had ordered them.
Since we normally have the fan going when the windows are open, that 1.5" on the awning side would have been great for ventilation. Unfortunately, with the sliders, we can't open the awning side if it's raining (we sleep with our head on the awning side)

I have the frameless windows in my 21' and HATE them. You cannot travel with a window even slightly cracked, you get VERY LOW air flow, and they are fragile. I would love to go back to the sliders we had on our 2015 19'. I would at least like to replace the frameless windows in the bathroom and the other which is behind the awning support with a slider. I travel with 2 cats, and in the hot weather keeping the trailer cool inside is difficult. Has anyone had these windows replaced?

Is it feasible to open the awning about a foot or so, to keep rain out of the window? Just a thought. I haven't tried this yet but I'm thinking about trying it. Although, I did add a RV Awning Travel Lock to mine and it should prevent the awning from unfurling farther than where I've set it.
