microwave in 17B

I really like having a microwave available at times, but the space where it would be built in is such a nice storage location for other stuff. I'm just wondering if the 17B wardrobe (near the front dinette) is wide enough to store a microwave? Seems like I could get it out and set it on top of the wardrobe when I need it. Is this feasible? How wide is the wardrobe interior?

Mike,
For the "latest and greatest" dimensions in the current 17B, that is a question you can ask ETI directly. But, the microwave is a fairly standard small model that should fit. Check out some mfrs. for std. widths.
You've got a good idea! Our 2015 17A has a microwave in that std. location above the frig., and I've occasionally thought about taking it out, since it's only usable on 120V AC power (house power, or inverter/battery combo). If I were to order today, I think I'd get a cabinet (with doors) above the frig., and just make sure that there's a 120V AC receptacle there. Then, I could always acquire a microwave at a big box retailer, for occasional use in the trailer.

The wardrobe opening in our 2016 17B is 17.5 inches wide.

my 2 cents:
- upper cabinet is only useful for stuff that can safely fall down, like clothing, etc. But there is already enough cabinets for clothing in 17B (IMHO)
- we put some stuff inside the M/Q when packing for travel, like, small life vest, or clothing pack
- microwave is very helpful for reheating milk, leftovers, etc., even without shore power. Saves from washing pans after gas reheating

That's helpful, thanks!
