When I'm remembering them I think more of 'WHUMP, WHUMP, WHUMP' of the engines. Now the door gunner, he was going 'BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA' .

I was never in the service, but in the mid 1970s, there was a SFO Helicopter service that ran a shuttle from SF Airport to a couple other points around the bay area in some shaky old big beast of a post-WW-II copter, I rode that several times from SFO to Sausalito and back so I could visit my family when I had a layover in SF en route back from a business trip. ahhh, Google tells me they flew S-61's which were the civvy version of a SH-3 Sea King.
