RMD 8555 Fridge Quick Question

I have a 2015 Escape 21 with the RMD 8555 fridge. I have a flashing blue light and am trying to determine whether that is normal. Trailer is plugged in (120 v) at home and refrigerator is working normally. But the blue light on the far right-hand side is flashing. Is that normal? Or should it be constant?

The manual (p 16) references that LED and states: "The outer LED (1) indicates that the refrigerator is operational (blue). The other LED (2) lights red in the event of a fault." Doesn't say whether either one is supposed to be constant or flashing.

I confess to a senior moment -- despite opening that door many times over many trips, I can't remember whether that light has been solid or flashing under normal operation in the past. Does anyone know? Or at least tell me what yours does normally?

Thanks, Paul

When that happens to us, it is either because the door is slightly ajar (check your latch to make sure it is fully retracted), or because the propane is failing to light. Also, if it is the propane, my dm recollection is that you need to reset the alarm. I think there are instructions for which button to push right by the lights.

My 2015 RMD8555 will beep at the same time the door-ajar light is flashing.

The beep ours makes is so faint it's almost unnoticeable.

The AES (automatic energy selector) on my fridge has always seemed temperamental. It seems to want to default to propane- which we use 99% of the time anyway. However, when I do want to run it on electric I seem to have to repeatedly push the electric icon, then turn off the unit, turn back on again. Eventually I hear a small clunk and know it is now running on electric.

huh, automatic on my 8555 works fine, it runs on AC if AC is available but reverts to propane when the trailer is decoupled from AC.
