Sealant holes around shower drain

While getting the trailer ready for a trip next month I noticed the sealant around the shower drain has holes in it.

Can I just reseal overtop of the holes and what product should I use?

that looks like the drain downpipe thing has loosened and gotten pushed upwards relative to the shower floor. I would see if you can get under the trailer and access the clamp nut around that downpipe. I would then put a bead of sikaflex or proflex or similar self leveling RV polyurethane sealant around it and tighten it down, wipe off the excess that squeezes out. don't use any silicone sealants!

That sounds simple enough. Thanks so much for the detailed response John!

I would not use sika or proflex as they are semi permanent. I would use plumbers putty. that way if you need to fix something later you can get it apart.

hmm, true, thats what I used on my kitchen sink flange. it had come from the factory with a rubber washer between the flange and sink, and this caused the flange to be slightly higher than the sink bottom so it didn't drain completely. old geezer in old hardware store was great, showed me the putty, asked what I was using it for, he doesn't like to use it, I said reseating a sink flange, he said, OH, thats what its good for. thumbs up. I also got a flange wrench to aid in tightening the large diameter 'nut'. sink drains perfectly ever since.
