I had my Frig swapped at General RV in Ohio and board replaced in it a year later. They were troopers throughout working with Dometic. Not all are awful. I passed on Camping World due to lousy reviews.

We have made a thousand kilometre drive to Coquitlam several times for repairs or warranty work on our Escape. To me, having the manufacturer work on the trailer was much preferred over some unknown local entity. In two of the three trips to the factory we combined the journey with other holiday plans and it became a trivial matter to stop in at ETI.

It is unfortunate that this issue with the 21' has arisen. But shi# happens sometimes and we need to accept it. My wife's Chevy Equinox has probably had 20 recall notices since we got it. I have not seen the guys from Chev knocking on my door wanting to fix things. Kudos to Reace for taking the initiative to do this fix himself.

I recieved the email asking for best way to get in touch but no schedule yet from ETI.
I think a lot of Floridians will be someplace else instead of Home

I'm guessing wildly at.... 90 minutes?

I've heard that the first time it was done it took about 4 hours. Guessing it will take less time as it is done more often.

A quick check underneath would tell. My guess is that the connection to PEX is in the cubbies, and the firmer PEX is run under the trailer. But, this is just a guess. If he has to replace the lines under foam, that would be a heck of a hassle.

The PEX runs under the step area as you enter the bathroom - it doesn't run under the trailer and the PEX to tubing transition is behind the bath wall next to the cubbies.

The route the water lines are run is what makes the repair take so long. When I first talked to Reese he said the connection was not accessable but after we took a good look at it, the current method of access came to light. It's a costly repair for Reese as the cubbies are destroyed during the repair and have to be replaced.

You will see some extra space once the cubbies are removed. I added an extra cubby at the bottom for shoes, just a matter of cutting another hole and finishing the edges.

Don't claim to know anything about plumbing, but when researching trailers this camper looked for visibility and accessibility to all plumbing where splices and tubing angle transitions take place as this seemed like an obvious place for a break later on. One sticky website (as some like to call them) even made a point of saying that all of these points were easily accessible and they designed it that way. Upon looking at that trailer it certainly seemed like they paid close attention to this during its design, although they seem to have dropped the ball in some other important areas of trailer design....did find one other trailer that also made sure all plumbing fittings and tubing angle transitions/splices were easily accessible in their design, and in addition to the use of pex they used all metal plumbing splice/angle fittings/clamps and bypass valves.

That makes good sense, Tom. I was thinking of my trailer which has the gallery lines running underneath.

In our 21, it is PEX under the bed and becomes the flexible tubing right as it exits the underbed and enters the bathroom enclosure.

You got my attention. I checked our 21' and it appears that the tubing enters the bathroom enclosure as pex, but not sure how far before it becomes flexible tubing.
