ETI sent us a warranty replacement for the lavatory sink due to a really squeaky hot water faucet. After a few days the replacement is just as bad as the original. I’ve loosened the screw that fixes the handle, sprayed WD40 but no improvement. Is this just part of having a cheap plastic RV faucet?

Can't say for sure but I think a $15 plastic rv faucet doesn't have the best Quality Control.
Applying a little grease on the inner and outer o-rings should help.

WD-40 is not really a lubricant. As WillyB says above, grease would serve you better.
Our previous camper had the same faucet as the Escape and it also squeaked. We used Vaseline as well, but only stopped the squeaking for a few months. The faucet in our 5.0 was defective. I opted to replace with a better faucet from Amazon and it has been squeakless for over a year.
