Threaded Inserts

Looking to install threaded inserts in the floor under our single dinette pedestal. This will allow me to replace the wood screws with threaded bolts.

Considering E-Z Loc or Nutsert with 1/4-20 internal thread but don't have any experience with threaded inserts in plywood. What have folks used successfully, any brand work better, etc? Any wisdom will be appreciated.

Lot's of folks just use screws to hold things down and are happy with the results.

I prefer to use the threaded inserts because I think that the larger diameter threads have much more grip.

I've used both 3/8" and 1/2" with care. There are different types, some have a slot, some use a hex key.

I especially like using them for things like my Springfield pedestal.
