Toilet repair

Has anyone replaced the o ring gasket in the bowl of their toilet. Looks like we have slow leak. Any info would be appreciated.

lotsa videos and howtos online, depending on the toilet.

mine is a Thetford, with the 'blade' style flush valve. some toilets have a 'ball' seal, thats a little different, so make sure the howto you find matches what you have.

Thanks. I'll look into it. Uncharted (thankfully) territory for me.

Have you checked the retaining bolts that hold the toilet down to see if they’ve worked loose. Try tightening them a little. That might solve the issue.

The leak is with the flapper at the bottom of the bowl so it's not holding water in the bowl. No leaking from base onto the floor.

Hi Ralph
Wish we were at the Mississippi. I’d make a video of you changing the seal with my encouragement and one liner comments on this crappy job.
