You should really post this on a separate thread where we could discuss.
Speaking of, just saw an ad for a "poutine-stuffed hamburger patty". Just how the heck to they get the fries, cheese and gravy in there?

Will say nothing more about it.
I too turn off any email notifications from forums, and just check for recent posts that might interest me.

You see a lot more of this off topic stuff on threads like this, where a certain handful of members seem to approach things with negativity, as opposed to objectivity, and some folks are trying to move away from this. Don't get me wrong, this topic is a very important one that warrants discussion, but does need to be done rationally. This negativity is something some folks (like me) don't deal very well with. Thus my all time favourite quote being listed in my signature.

Ah, that makes sense. I genuinely see where you are coming from. Much respect. Notice that you have offered a lot of assistance to a lot of posters.

Interesting mix of folks on most forums. Kinda like at rallies. Some folks socialize with anyone, anywhere, anytime, about anything, and you never know where the conversation will go next. Some folks attend the scheduled events to learn a thing or two or sample the pot luck fixin's then disappear. And some folks - you never even see a light on in their camper, but you're pretty sure they are there somewhere because their camp chair has moved a bit since the last time you walked by their site. To each their own - on the forums, and at the rallies....

Kansas

Hi all
I'll talk to anybody any time any where about any thing for any length of time. I have a large number of friends, have helped a large number of people I do not know, and driven a lot of roads in the United States and a few in Canada too. And I don't see stopping anytime soon. I sleep well every night. If you don't like me, waste your time expressing that fact, it matters not to me. In the mean time, it rained hard in south central Kansas yesterday afternoon and the pizza at Humble Pie in Pratt Kansas can give you indigestion. Spot on Mr. Bennett. Have a great day to ALL
Dave

You two haven't met? Lol

The world would be a pretty dull place without folks like Dave. If you think things go off topic around here, try a campground.

Well ..... a thread has a subject line describing the issue at hand, a campfire get together does not and all subjects are game around the fire.

What I hear is that people come here to learn about Escapes in general, specific issues, etc. The thread's subject line helps you pick threads of interest.

Nothing wrong with conversation, the young ones call it "hanging out" but it should be in a thread labeled as such. This way serious topic specific readers don't have to wade through tons of meaningless posts hoping to find next post regarding the advertised subject.

If the issue concludes, great just stop adding to it and use a conversation tread to hang out.

Some of us have been coming here for a very long time for more than just answers and problems. As Robert already said all the answers to this problem were long ago answered and as Jim summarized very well, some of us old timers get tired of the negativity and try to balance it with more lighthearted fun.

And everyone who comes here gets to make the choice like most of life's choices, do you want to add positively or negatively?

Totally agree Santiago.
Interesting outlook that people are often deemed to be 'negative' when they are discussing issues with their Escape

There is no issue with people posting a problem that they have encountered and seeking solutions.
But, I get my back up when certain individuals post on every such thread they come upon with, "BUMMER", "SAD", and such and offer no solution or direct the OP on where to look for a solution.
