Complaints

Hi Glenn,
Yup I have a complaint. I am out of Cheezies. But I can fix that. There are times when I stand outside and proclaim how lucky I am and other times I'm not so joyful. Like the Ink Spots sang so many years ago " in to each and every life a little rain must fall" but I've never had truly " too much falling in mine"

I'm 2200 miles away from home, and out of beer, Dave. Otherwise, I'm good. [emoji1]

Nice flowers by the way.

By the time the body reaches the point of having the trim installed, it is effectively one piece, with no space between the moulded shell and the bonding layer, so there's no intermediate place for the end of the rivet to be - it ends inside the body. A description of the joining process, based on Reace's description and illustrated with his photos, is in a FiberglassRV post; it is over a decade old, but I don't think anything has changed.

You may be thinking of the construction of an original Trillium, the predecessor of the Escape design. In a Trillium, the edges of the top and bottom of the shell were clamped together between the belly band on the outside and fender washers on the inside, using rivets. Fiberglass cloth and resin were applied across the seam on the inside to seal and stiffen it, after the clamping. That covered and sealed the inside ends of the rivets, but it also trapped the washers between layers of fiberglass and connected to the outside by the rivet, so the washers rusted in place and made a mess. Some Trillium owners have put a lot of work into digging out rusted washers and repairing the joint.
Thanks, I was thinking along the lines of a lap joint with a step or seat on one half to hold the other. Another of my myths busted.

My truck was rifled through by thieves last week, and the only thing stolen was $6,000 worth of camera gear. Thankfully they did not take a brand new large bag of Cheezies.

I'm sorry to hear this! That's a lot of fine camera gear. But it's good to know your Cheezies are safe.

Jim
Very sorry to hear that. If you were down in our neck of the woods you'd have lost the Cheezies too when they came back to make sure they did not miss anything. Vehicle breakins are so common anymore. I keep very little in ours if I'm not right there but on occasion it can't be helped. I hope you have good luck with the insurance company.

Man, that's terrible Jim. If there's one thing I miss from my years in law enforcement, it's busting thieves. I mean I really enjoyed that. It may not be pc, but I hate them.

The Cheezies were very tasty, and so would revenge on the perps, but that is not likely to happen.

Time will tell, they certainly are no moving too fast.

It is the crimes where there are victims that get me too, especially by those too lazy to get real work.

We are working like madmen around here so we can list the house, sell it, and move to the house I bought right next door. This is a fantastic neighbourhood, thus a target for the criminal type.

Did your insurance cover this? And more importantly, would it have covered the Cheezies?

I finally had to look up what the heck a cheezie is.
Since it resembles a puff that I am familiar with too bad they did not steal them.
You could have identified them in a line up by the orange fingers.

The only thing that Cheezies have in common with Cheetos is orange fingers. Former is a snack and the latter is packing material.

Hoping to not come off negative here but feel like I'm in the twilight zone.
Going on 3 pages of any thing but top/bottom seal. . If anyone researches this in the future, it's going to be frustrating for them. I've subscribed to the thread and get emailed every post, was quite interested in the discussion.
Again apologies if this comes off negative.

The pertinent question was asked and answered pages ago, and I think quite adequately. As often happens once that's over, some threads continue with off topic banter.

Pretty sure it will, but they are sure being slow about it.

Good one.

Cheezies do give off orange dye, but not near what Cheese Puffs or Cheetos do. They are firmer, and much better to snack on too.

I blame Iowa Dave, it usually is his fault.

After we got our Escape, I changed our settings so we don't subscribe to threads. Now I just log on, check the "Recent Discussions" window on the right, and click on the Bold Face titles.
I don't generally miss too much, but my email is no longer clogged.

Noted and thank you.
I've read hundreds of threads and seen much off topic discussion, but even you have to admit, this one got out of hand.
i realize the question has been answered but posters may still have more and great ideas to contribute. Hate to see potential issues get buried in all this.
Will say nothing more about it.

Removed my email altogether. Too bad there are a few out there who seem to need affirmation or recognition, just want to shine on or maybe their regret in life is they didn't try to be a stand-up comedian. In any event me thinks that is why fewer "regular" owners bother here. It does in fact get tedious. Oh, and pass the fricking poutine please
