I siphon out of a 6 gal container. I put a board across the arms of a folding camp chair to support the container at the necessary height.

We, too, sanitize our system regularly and use it with a filter on the hose. In addition, we use an Epic pitcher with a Nano filter. We have to fill it a couple of times daily but it fits easily on the counter or in the refrigerator. We used it at home (we are on a well) until we put in an R/O system.
