To install Dickinson all that I am going to have to do is fill in depth with 3/4 on front and back and then put an aluinum angle over that 1/16 x 1" x1" and that will give me about 1/4 overlap each...

When cutting the inside hole in aluminum sheet you can leave some 1 inch tabs to bend down to hold it in place. I talked myself into it , I am going to do it that way.

I think the problem is with the flare in the aluminum tube at the burner. Tightening the nuts at the valves is great but it could be just postponing an explosion!!!
