It has to do with the way the film is made. The gold 215 film has a metallic finish in it that looks great but accelerates the damage from UV to the vinyl.

I'll be replacing the Gold with HP...

Great looking graphic when it was new. I guess I shouldn't complain - it lasted twice as long as the manufacturer said it would. :facepalm:
