I know there's starting to be quite a bit of interest in this type of show along with vintage heavy trucks and vintage heavy equipment and classic wooden boats . Old cars, old motorcycles and old tractors are almost passé at times. I try to hit at least one of this type of show every season or a museum when I can. The finest displays I have ever seen are the Auburn, Cord, Dusenberg museum in Indiana and the aviation museums at Wright-Patterson AFB and the Naval air museum at Pensacola FL. Thanks for the reminder, unfortunately we aren't in the neighborhood.

A couple of weeks ago, there was a very large gathering of classic travel trailers held in Roslyn, Washington... the television show Northern Exposure was filmed there. These trailers are definitely on an upswing in prospective owner interest.

Would an Escape "Classic" qualify now as vintage?

Interesting though was inside a 6.7 refrigerator.Saw also last month at Camping World for sale . Talking to some at show with vintage trailers , they send their refrigerators out and get the old ones fixed . So I wouldn't be worried with our Domestics in the classic's . Many awning windows on the vintage trailers but hinge usually goes all the way across and they have awning protection . Looks like the bulldog type hitch everyone was discussing , couldn't read the name . Got lot's of idea's for more mods . Did take a lot of pictures when things come out will share . Pat

It's a Class C, but that's okay... the distinction is commonly misunderstood.

Yes, that's a Bulldog: what is currently sold as a "Collar-Lok" or "2B style" forged coupler in 2-inch ball size and A-frame mount with high profile latch (there are a lot of variations of this series of coupler). It says "Hammerblow Corp" on it, which might mean that it was built before Cequent bought Hammerblow in 2002, or that Cequent still uses the Hammerblow name for the subsidiary that makes them.

Really liking mine more and more with my chrome shelfs and it works much better now with the fixes . I have stopped complaining about the refrigerator now . Saw the most beautiful trailers in my life . People put their heart and soul in their trailers so evident . Want to see more shows like this one . Pat

Yeah, lots of people do that, everywhere in North America. Class B actually means an RV built within the body that comes with the chassis as a complete van; Class C means the RV builder adds a body behind the cab of a chassis-cab truck. The one in the photo is a Class C, built on a Mercedes Sprinter chassis-cab. Most (probably all) of the vans used for Class B motorhomes are also available as chassis-cabs to make box trucks or Class C motorhomes; Ford E-Series, Chevrolet Express / GMC Savana , Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, and Ram ProMaster are examples. While Class C motorhomes often have a bunk over the cab (because it's an obvious thing to do), that's not what defines the classes.
Class B (van body) motorhomes built in Sprinter and ProMaster vans
Class C (RV coach) motohomes built on Sprinter and ProMaster chassis-cabs
(the one on the Sprinter happens to have an over-cab bunk and the one on the ProMaster doesn't - that doesn't change the class)

That's one of the few great things about how little trailer hardware changes: Bulldog products from Hammerblow have been around for many decades, so that could be the original 1948 coupler, or a matching replacement put on last year. It's not so easy in car restoration!

Brian couldn't tell about the age of coupler , but the overwhelming theme was to restore everything as it was so don't know . I will say that Mercedes Van was sure nice inside . Funny thing besides new windows the other side had our exact escape Hehr window besides our Dometic refrigerators . Pat
