Leaking toilet

I have an email to Escape but thought I would ask here too.

Our toilet has an intermittent leak. It seems to happen after flushing but I haven't been able to catch it yet. It's not a constant leak and it doesn't do it after every flush. I've gone into the bathroom and found about 2 oz of water on the floor that traces back along the toilet's right side (left as I face it). Directly under the valve seems to be dry and I might find a drop or two on the bottom of the supply line but no water on the floor below it. And it looks like if it was running down the supply line the leak would be coming out the left side.

This is not a constant leak and doesn't seem to matter if it's internal or external water supply.

Anyone else have a similar issue?

Any chance it could be the ceiling vent or window (if you have that option). Condensation??

Same here. Have not solved it either.

We our trailer was built the fitting connecting to the toilet valve was cross threaded but only had a very small leak when seated on the toilet. You may want to remove the toilet and check this connection.

Thought we had a leak as well, and ETI inspected it last May. The valve was fine however sometimes the water jumps the bowl on flush. Our fix was to turn the shut-off valve slightly closed.

No, I thought about that but it's happening in dry weather and it's too much for condensation.

I think it would be leaking all the time and it's not.

I thought about this too but haven't seen it. I might watch that more closely.

We have the same intermittent problem in our trailer. Haven't figured it out yet either. It's not aim, as Dian is quite careful. I was thinking splash when we hit a bump but will have to check the overflow when flushing.

As mentioned, if intermittent, are you sure it isn't pressure from your city water.? We often get splash back on the first flush on some city water. It even sounds different when it does. The other option is pressure in the lines. We had a drip until I installed an accumulator tank. No drips since.

I don't think so because it happens with ship's water too. The pump just doesn't put out that much. It happens days into an established camp site.

If a valve, I'd think it would be consistent. FOr the small price of an accumulator, it might be worth a try.

I also have a 2016 19, and the same issue. A couple of tablespoons of water randomly appear right in the middle of the bathroom floor every couple of days. No idea where it is coming from. No apparent leaks from any fittings or connections. We just put down a bathroom mat and try to ignore it.

Same here with our '16 21'. SWMBO was all worried so I added a shut off valve and will monitor the situation next road trip.

We have a 2015 19 and I found water on the bathroom floor also. I ultimately found a small leak in the supply line that comes through the wall and into the back of the toilet. It only leaked when under pressure from the water pump. I replaced the supply line and problem solved.

I leave my pump on all the time. If I had a hole like that in the hose I would have a lot more than a couple of tablespoons every once in a while.

Now there is something I never thought of. Seeing as how I went to the trouble of installing the valve, might as well use it for something.

And when I had the water line replaced I added a cutoff valve to give me options in the future.
