A circular saw set at full tilt (45degrees) with pretty much any blade will make quick work of shortening one Andersen by the requisite 7/8 inch. Retains the factory look.
And yes, you only need to trim one.

I like to cut both, so they match. That way both tires are assured to always be at the same point on the lift curve, and either one can go in the middle. But you only *need* to cut one.

Ironically, the photo above was taken before I trimmed one of them. They still "fit" that way, but it took a little persuasion with a mallet.

I'll probably have to cut it with a hacksaw, I don't have a decent circular saw and my angle grinder with a cutoff disk will likely make a mess of it.

I am ordering a set of the Anderson levelers and will take them with me when I go pick up my Escape 19 in May. I would like to make the cuts to the levelers at home where I have access to a circular saw. Can anyone with an Escape 19 confirm for me exactly how much I have to cut off from each leveler?

Cut about an inch and a half, maybe two inches max from one of them. I beveled the cut so the tire would more easily go up the ramp. Don't worry really about the amount to cut. Eyeballing it is fine. You only need to cut one of them.

If memory serves me, it was close to an inch. I tapered mine, and used my table saw. They cut easily and any burring can be handled with a file.

1 1/2 inches off one and used a wood file to round the top.

I'd say it's just a particularly good form of chock, which only works with tandem axles. It is what I would use for a tandem travel trailer, but my trailer is a single-axle.

Not to exactly answer your question but........ we used a bandsaw to shorten ours up. It had a cutting oil feed on it so the cut was super smooth and needed no deburring. On the 21 with Marathon Endurance tires I took off about three inches and like Robert, tapered the ends. They work great with no worry about getting one stuck between the tandems. I’m about an inch in front of the first “hole”. We did them both so full interchangeability. Here’s a couple
Pictures. The one was to level the trailer when it was about 4 inches low on one side. That’s about all you can get out of them. If you need more, get out the wood.

So, not that you're going anywhere in those spots, but what do you do with chocks when you need them? Just put them on the side where you don't have the andersons?

Chocks
To sum up how I do it. Back in so I’m as close to level side to
Side as possible. If I’m level side to side, I’m ready to unhook, if not get out the Andersons. Back or pull ahead onto the Andersons till level side to side. Put the tow vehicle in park and set the brake. Put the single chocks in on the side without the Andersons. Uncouple the tow and the trailer. OR. Back in see that I am level side to
Side and look at which way the trailer would like to roll. Chick wheels to keep
From rolling. Unhook trailer. OR if level and it doesn’t appear Trailer wants to roll, chock one side front and back tires. And then level front to back with the trailer jack and install X chocks.
Works for me
