If accumulator tank pre-charge exceeds pump turn on pressure, the liquid volume is reduced.

You are absolutely right. I tested my accumulator after installing. The most water I would get before the pump kicked back on was about 5 oz. This is 15% of 3/4 liter (35 oz). I was disappointed because I had expected a lot more. However since using it, I have been very pleased with how it eliminated the on-off vibration of the pump at low water flow.

I really appreciate being informed about the silencing kit. That made adding an accumulator tank a very easy and successful mod. Thanks!

lots of great posts, but accumulator looks a little too problematic for me. I think will just suffer through the noise. actually, after reading all this, last time I was in the trailer the water pump sounded OK, didn't really bother me any more, so it's all good. Cheers

I'm not sure what part is problematic. I've installed several in boats and trailers. Connect the hoses, check for leaks and enjoy being able to get more water out without turning on the pump overnight as well as stopping the pump from short cycling. Works for me.

Thanks for posting that picture! I recently got one of these and was wondering about the best way to install it. Didn’t realize you could get an elbow connector for it until I saw your install (mine came with 2 straight connectors). Got the elbow off Amazon and installed it in the same location. As others have said, the accumulator makes a big improvement, definitely worth the time to do the upgrade.
