I purchased and installed the Prodigy 2 yesterday on the Frontier. Pretty much plug and play as I purchased the wire harness for the Nissan. 1 wire connector and 2 mounting screws. Works ok.

Thank you for your reply. I plan to pickup top the kayaks if possible. I have seen some examples posted on this and other sites of kayaks on pickups. A 12' kayak may be 2' or 3' forward of the truck...

Not an owner yet..getting closer..and am asking 5.0 owners if they have transported 12' kayaks either on the TV (Toyota Tacoma or similar) or top of 5.0 trailer? Thanks for any response.
