I mounted mine directly to each other. The table to is very close to the standard 30". We have used the table as a bed a few times, would never give that up.

I have no issues with where the slide cams are located. I have the table rotated so one for each direction is at the front.

BTW, our table is full sized for the U-shaped dinette, but we usually...

I mounted under the top leg of the rail to allow...

I mounted under the top leg of the rail to allow full bearing of the slide to the table. 2 1/2 years later, we are still living this combo.
