hitch height

Hi

I do think (the Trailler is in storage) that Escape 19 ball height is 19 inches to the top of the ball.

My new to me F150 2022 is way to high for my 6 holes BlueOx shank set to minimum (height of the top of ball) around 24,5 inches. I do think that a 8 holes shank would be more suitable since each additional hole drop 1,5 inch.

Blueox recommande that the ball height should be equal or 1 inch higher than the top of the couper. So my ball height sound be around 19-20 inch

How many hole does have your shank?

I have two Blue Ox shanks. One is 7 and the other is 9 holes. I have not seen a 6 hole version. Is your hitch a trackPro or SwayPro? Mine is SwayPro. Maybe the shanks are different.

Sway pro and love it. Tested it with the Trailler this afternoon. At the lowest hole our 19 has nose up about 1". I've found a 12 hole shank. Way to much adjustment but since it is gonna cheap buy, I'll will shorten it after final adjustment plus 1 hole. Will never need the extra holes.

Curious......

What is the height to the bottom of your receiver hitch on your truck when not hitched up?

22 inch and 20 inch when hitched

With the he new bar I can adjust it to 20 inch not hitched so it is gonna be 19 or so when itched, The Trailler should be close to being level.

WOW!

I have a 2017 Raptor and mine is just shy of 20" to the bottom of the receiver when unhitched. Thought my truck was up there........

Is there any chance that a previous owner installed any sort of 'lift kit' or taller than OE tires on your F150 (compare tire markings to the OE size displayed on the label in the driver-side doorframe)?

Just curious, what's the cab/bed configuration (e.g. supercrew w/6.5ft bed)? I saw in another thread that you have the 2.7EB, do you also have the 2.7 Payload Package which was available on certain trims in 2022? While that receiver height is 'impressive' it may well be what it is just as a function of your particular truck's OE configuration and options.

When I purchased our 21C Escape said I needed the 8-Hole Drop Bar. That was even after I debated the need with them. I have a Ford F-150 4x4 4 door with a 5'-6" foot bed and the E2 WDH.

When I picked up the trailer they set the ball at its lowest point and the trailer was severely pitched downward towards the tongue.

After getting the trailer back the 2500+ miles back home I raised the ball a full three holes higher. My F150 and Escape 21C now sit perfectly level.
