How to repair rolling screen door frame?

I have a 1st gen E21 with the rolling screen door. The screw that holds the screen door frame to the side of the trailer has come out and will not stay in place when I put it back; something inside has stripped. How do I fix this?

Also, from the photo you can see that the frame backs away from the side of the trailer, leaving a gap. I can put it all together but it won't stay that way without the screw. Can I put adhesive on the outer edge of the frame to help hold it in place? What should I use, silicone? Thanks.

I think I would try a pop rivet. Use a washer over the larger hole to make it the same size as the smaller hole.

I would not glue it because you might need to remove it some day. The rivet is easily drilled out. I had to remove that piece of the frame to glue the formula panel back on when it delaminated.

A pop rivet is a good idea. And not using adhesive on that piece is also probably good advice, for the reason cited. Thanks for the help.
