Thanks Leon, I have started a collection of items for the swap. I will not involve Janet, if I did, all my "treasures" would be gone.

My greatest fear is that when I die my wife will sell all my stuff for what I told her I paid for it. Paul is 5:30'PM right for the potluck? Does happy hour start at 1:30 or 2:00 PM ?

Happy all the time

Hi Steven
Hey you are right about the happy hour. I'm pretty happy every day when I wake up and it can only get better most days. However today I had to deal with the DNR on a landowner license. That was a little bump in the road but they got it figured out while I went to the grocery store. Are you bringing the girls? Are they still eating candy or should I get something else? Let me know.
Dave

Looking forward to the 28th.

Martha and I will be at the Rendezvous. We arrive Thursday night and will land on site 123. We're looking forward to meeting so many of you we've followed in this thread and to see first hand Escape 19 & 21' travel homes. If Martha likes what we see I expect to purchase on Escape and sell my Casita.

Impatiently waiting, - Dan

And you'll be just down the road and across from a 21' Classic. You'll be able to see how they hold up to "lots o towing" . Ours was among the first few produced and we love it.
Stop by even on Friday and I'll spin you a yarn. Right Eric?

The pot luck is scheduled for 5:00, unless you are Iowa Dave, then it starts at 5:30. Of course Rita is welcome to come anytime.

Tours are from 12-3 with Happy Hour starting at "what ever". Of course for some like, Bruce & Ellen, with an arrival on Wednesday, there is an even earlier start.

Bruce, so do you think football will be able to compete with Dave’s yarn spinning ?

Futball

I got away from watching pro ball. Used to follow it pretty close when I was betting on the games. I do watch some college games. They say football mirrors life. This worries me a little bit after last Saturday when the entire United States Army could not field a team to beat a little bitty ole college team from the tiny state of Ohio. THE!!!!

I gave up pro football after being a Vikings fan since my youth. This was before the Cubs won the World Series (that sure is fun to say) and I realized no one in their right mind could be a Cubs AND Vikings fan. I could never give up on the Cubs so the Vikes had to go.

I started watching the Packers with my dad in 1960 and rarely missed a game so I guess you would refer to me as a crazed fan. That's not to say I dont multi task while watching.........I can drink beer and watch.

On another note, I will be fishing from shore. Here again I also multitask
Illinois 3 day licenses are available online. I think I saw $15.50

Gone Fishing

Bruce:
I think you're right on the fishing license. There's a convenience store in Thompson that sells licenses and bait I think and if not, somebody in Fulton or Savannah will have them. I'm going to buy a three day also. The bank access from the CG is pretty good if I remeber right and there's a backwater they fish too right off the causeway as you enter the park. I think I'll bring a can of corn so if I can't catch a carp I can eat the bait.

Generally Dave just pulls up a chair on the shore, throws out his line with a bare hook, and starts telling stories over and over. Eventually the fish take the hook just to escape hearing the story again...
