Really slow response time Escape forum
Howdy All
For the last few days the response time on this forum has been very slow. The internet broadband service seems good on other web sites such as the FG forum. We are still running Windows XP and Explorer 8.
While I am waiting the tool bar indicates that the the browser is waiting for static.ak.facebook.com.
Has anyone else had issues with slow response time ?

I started to see these issues yesterday later in the day. It takes a lengthy time to finish loading any new page. This seems to happen on any and all new menu choices. I am using IE 10.
I have not seen a similar issue at fiberglassrv but they could be on a different host and or server.

The site almost lost my PW, I had to reset it. It kept telling me a different user was trying to login to my account? Strange!!

The site speed is about normal and is fine for me (using Firefox). Some of the members though appear to be really slowing down.

I am seeing the same thing - the page is locked, and CPU busy until I get a pop-up asking me if I want to terminate a long-running script. I am running IE8. I also see a page error. There must be a bug or loop in some javascript related to facebook.

I have seen no issues with the forum software nor with pages loading. I'm using Safari and cable modem.

Using Chrome or Firefox, I have no issues. Both loaded up in well under one second. Have those of you using IE tried another browser. Worth a try. I gladly abandoned IE years ago, as it never could keep up to most other browsers.

I am seeing the long script every time I log in or change sections also. Loading another browser is not a fix though since it appears not to be related to a specific version of IE or operating system. I have tried it on several , sys admins must have changed something or added something perhaps they will straighten it out soon as it is getting annoying.

I'm on Safari and have had no problems, either her or at FGRV. I stopped using IE long ago.
