I suspect.
Again, no rush, since the 'Old Bag' is already irked with the amount of time I spend on this laptop.

Anyone besides me having problems with getting logged onto this site then staying logged on?
The problem seems to be very erratic. Sometimes I get on then it kicks me off. Usually when I try to view the photos on some of the posts. I am still on the web site and I can still view the threads but cannot see the photos or post to it, basically logged off.
Sometimes I can't even get logged on.
Wondering if it could be related to the recent changes announced to this site?
Or something with my laptop?

Good/Bad news, at least now I know it is not just my computer.
I love snow as well - in the mountains!
We have been getting far too much rain in the mountains this past week.
Spent last 3 days at Whistler and only skied 1. Decided on not getting wet rather than ski the other 2. El Nino effects!

You might try clearing your browser's cache file. Sometimes after updates the browser has info stored that now conflicts with changes the admins have made.
Browsers use cache files to make sites you have gone to load faster the next time you visit that site. Clearing them out every once in a while is a good idea.

Both Escape Forum and FGRV are acting up.
I get timed out on one and the other will work and then vice versa.

If you want to try clearing you browser cache - google:
clear "your browsers name" cache "mac or PC"
ie if I want to find how to clear safari on a mac I'd google: clear safari cache mac
and it should show you instructions on how to do it.

Suggest you use the "Contact Us" at the bottom of this page and tell Admin about your problems and tell them what computer or other device you are using and what version of software is on it and what your browser software is, and what version.
They need that information.

If you are having trouble staying logged in be sure to tick the "remember me/stay logged in" option on the login page.

For those having troubles, a clearing of cookies can help.
At least it helped me when having troubles on another forum.

Thanks BCnomad, Checking the 'Remember Me' at Log-On seems to have solved the problem. Is this something others do each time they Log On?

You click Remember Me once.
I don't log off at all.

I never log off either, just close the window and/or browser.

Even if you never log off the server will disconnect you after about 30 minutes of inactivity. This is a security precaution as well. Once you return it should reconnect you. Note that this behavior is impacted by your own browser settings and if you are clearing cookies after leaving the site, you will need to login again next time you visit (and check the remember me box)

I used to always log out every time.
The next time I would log back in I did not have to check the "remember me " button and everything worked just fine each time.
Was there a button before, I can't remember because I never had to select it. Or if you did it stayed selected from one log in to the next.
It used to always work great. Just the last few days that this has happened to me.
Works fine now when I select the "Remember Me" box. But I now have to do that every time I log in.
Go figure!!
Old dogs can be retrained - apparently!! It just takes a little longer.

The only time I have ever had to log on and select Remembet Me" was when I actually clicked on the "Log Off" button. Maybe a setting on my computer?

I don't log off and I don't have to click the log in button. I have Escape Forum and FGRV in the toolbar at the top of the Firefox page. I did click Remember Me some time ago.
I don't go to any home page either. I bookmarked the page with forums and recent discussions and put them in the toolbar.
