New Generator
Just bought a Honda 2200i AT1 Companion. I have a 2000 Companion and hadn't even thought that I could run them in parallel.
The manual for the 2200 states that it will run with the 2000 but the serial number of the 2000 must be later than a certain number.
My 2000 number is, of course, earlier. Had it maybe 7-8 years.
Something was obviously done to the later models(maybe) of the 2000 but I'm wondering what. Some sort of load balancing?
I'm wondering(naturally) what would come about if I did it anyway. I have the cables. Just not work? Smoke? Damage of some sort.
Thoughts?
