Owners Manual on Escape Website
While browsing the Escape Trailers ( Escape Trailer Industries – Chilliwack, British Columbia) website, I came across a PDF version of the 2014OwnersManual ( http://escapetrailer.com/wp-content/...nersManual.pdf). This document seems to be quite new and is much better than the documentation provided when I purchased my 19'. Looks like Tammy and Reace have done a great job again.

Much better than before. But...battery acid is corrosive but NOT flammable. Off gassing of hydrogen is and could occur at anytime with charging. Splitting hairs I guess.

Yes, it should read 12v not 120v as ac is the same as 120v.

Good catch! Should have said - the refrigerator operates on 120v, DC, or propane.

120v, 12 volt D.C., or propane
Guess we are all drinking our coffee and posting at the same time this morning.

Yes, but some of you are sitting outside with your coffee while folks in Ottawa remain stuck in their living room!
Yet, hope is on the way as I saw my first robin this morning.

I really enjoy Osoyoos, so pretty, weather is nice and I bring a bike and love riding around and meeting known and unknown forum members and Escape owners. I wear a "cpaharley2008" badge otherwise there are a lot of Jims around.

The most confused, pathetic and ticked off bird I’ve ever seen is a cock robin standing in wet snow. We’ve still got some frost in the ground so no worms yet. I feed some blueberry suet and the robins are on the ground under the feeder getting pieces of blueberry. Saw 9 kestrels yesterday when I went to pay my taxes. Several red tailed hawks. Juvenile males and a couple mature females. Red winged blackbirds in full force. And the sweet clear call of the male
Cardinal looking for love every morning.

2017 Owners Manual
I just clicked the red/white "Owners Manual" button at the top right of Escape's home page, and I got 2017OwnersManual.pdf ( http://escapetrailer.com/wp-content/...nersManual.pdf).

Hi, Dave. Do you have a 2014? We do and love it, but are having this problem. I am unable to turn the furnace on without the heat strip on the air conditioner coming on. It would be nice to have the furnace on at night without the noise from the heat strip coming on. Any help that you can give will be appreciated. Thanks.

My Dometic thermostat manual instructs that in Furnace Mode to set the fan speed to “Auto” to keep the fan off. I hope that works for you.

Sorry I can’t help you. We have a 2103. It has a heat strip on the AC panel but we’ve never used it according to my wife. I do not adjust the temperature in the Escape or in our house either for that matter. If she’s in the car with me she handles the heat and AC as long as there’s no fog on the windshield I’m good. On the Highlander we have the dual controls and a temp control for the dog in the back seat. Seems like too much to me. As long as she is comfortable it’s good with me. We use a cube heater when minor heating is needed and the furnace when it’s cold or damp. Hope you get it figured out.
