Geez, owned 2 and maybe a third hatching soon. Totally agree about jack pads and propane stand, step not a big deal.
I've often thought of Escapes as pretty close to perfect, cant think of a single thing I'd add to the list!
OK, here's one. Never liked the standard fabrics/floor/Formica and wondered why a couple choices weren't offered.

Yes, that's a design consideration. The most common solution is to mechanically fasten the components (and this is done is some non-galvanized chassis systems, too), and the alternative is to galvanize the completed frame, or welded sub-assemblies in it.
The required changes in design and construction methods - not just material - are the reason that I wouldn't expect a change in Escape's frames, especially as an option. Better coating, though, might be a more reasonable expectation; it could be one of those 'higher standard with resulting higher price' possibilities that this thread is supposed to be about.

I would like to see provisions on the 5.0TA for a small generator that's at least big enough to power the AC.

Move the two exterior levels
The driver is typically the one to level the trailer when parking.
The level showing front -to- back in located by the entry door. (Passenger side).
The level showing side -to- side is under the rear window.
I'm sure there is a reason why they are where they are but it escapes me.
It would be much more convenient if the front-to-back level was moved to the drivers side. No more walking around the trailer or stepping over the hitch to see how you're doing.
It would be much more convenient to move the side-to-side level to the front of the trailer just above the storage box. No more schlepping front to back to see how you're doing.
An easy, no cost improvement.

The reason one is attached to the rear is you need to know what is back there, so you are forced to look around and make sure there is nothing that can do harm back there. Several owners had added an additional level to the front, but I'm content to where the stocks are located.

I had ETI install additional levels, driver side front and side. Check those and when satisfied, check the others.

We purchased our used 2018 Escape 19 just before all this Corona insanity hit, so we have not even had a chance to do a shake-out trip yet. We did take it out for a short trip to set up the WDH that came with it and noticed how LOW the trailer rides.
I'd definitely suggest an axle lift kit (spacer block) option for those of us who don't stay on paved roads or who just want a little more clearance overall as well as more height for the gray/black tank drain.

I go off the highway a fair bit and have not had an issue with either Escape I have owned without the raised axle. Unless you travel through really big dips, or over huge bumps, it really is not needed. Never had an issue with over 10 years of use.

I second the need for the axle lift kit. It's only come in handy once offroad when I took a wrong turn at Quartzite but traversing sloped driveways and hooking up the gray/black tank drain at full hookups has made it immensely valuable.
