I think your question has been asked before. I believe the solution is a very slight adjustment on the Allen screw on the pump. Check your manual on location and the troubleshooting section. We always turn off the water hydrant when gone and usually the pump off when not In use, especially at night or during the day when we are mostly outside.
Shutting the hydrant off is part of the “away from the camper checklist” including closing the windows down, adjusting the max fan hood down, rolling up the awning, securing the lawn chairs from blowing away or getting wet, locking the door, etc. YMMV
