Why removable power cord?

I store my 17' in a secure storage location, I was still worried about someone pulling out the cord, cutting it off, it's a lot of copper ?

There's not much you can do to stop a determined thief. You can't worry about it. If they can't take your cord there's tires, batteries, propane tank and copper, etc etc etc. Secure storage is a relative term, don't let the possibilities rule your life. Remember the Garrison Kielor routines with the fear mongers? A lot of those jokes have now become reality.
