I normally don’t eat gas station fare, but the chopped brisket sandwich is pretty good. Linda agrees. I still draw the line at gas station sushi

hey, I won't even eat market sushi thats made on the premises that morning. I dont much care for the 'boat' style sushi places either, gotta be a proper sushi bar where you sit at the little counter and order direct from the sushi chef who cuts you order on the spot. If you're ever in San Francisco, check out this place on Geary near Park Presidio aka highway 1, http://www.sfariake.com/ ... they specialize in fancy rolls made to order but always have a big selection of exotic fresh fish on the board that you can have most any way you want, sashimi, nigiri, etc.

Never heard of it myself until a few days ago I saw this article about them in the washington post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/trave...ion-tennessee/

If you click on the little book shaped icon (reading view) before the pay wall comes up you can read the article for free.

Looks like a place we would avoid.

Usually 110 gas pumps and the average store is larger than many Walmarts...Its usually a zoo in there.
Kinda pushing the small independent fuel station owner's out of the business it seems. This is not good, though heck, I do buy from Amazon.

Buc-ees will likely find a profitable home in Bucky la-la land.

Funny because I just roadtripped down south to buy a pre-owned Escape, brought it back home to Green Bay and one of our road trip stops was supposed to be Buc ee's. Unfortunately we blew past the only one along the way, not realizing we wouldn't have another opportunity. Thankfully we make it to Madison a few times a year and will stop by DeForest when it goes up.

I don't think anyone is going out of business because of Buc-ee's. The place is such a zoo, I'm pretty sure locals would seek out a local gas station to avoid the mass of humanity.

I agree.... I don't know of any mom and pop gas stations in my town at least... Bucc-ees gas at the pumps isn't as cheap as other corporate stations in town... I don't fuel up there...but its a fun place to see. .once or twice

Bucci's is a lot of fun to see.

Unfortunately the only 2 things that are generally CHEAP at Bucci's compared to the stations is the Fuel and the Fountain Drinks.

IF you want to eat or buy much of anything else expect to spend and extra $30.00 - $50.00 easy each time you visit!

Of course all that extra Moohlah you spend on food and other stuff helps pay the piper for those CLEAN BATHROOMS!

OK I gotta ask. Why Waco of all places. I lived in Dallas for 16 years before moving to Durango, CO to semi-retire so I know the Waco area very well. Check out the crime rate.
