Leaving Saturday

I and my son are leaving on a 7 week trip to most of the western part of the US. Specifically Mesa Verde, Moab area, Crater Lake NP, N Cascades NP, Yellowstone, Devils Tower, Badlands NP, Custer area, RMNP, and finally Palo Duro SP before returning home. I had to make some adjustments. I wanted to stay in Glacier NP, but saw that the NP campground near St Mary was closed. Also had reservations @ T Roosevelt NP South unit, but received notice that my reservation was canceled. We will be careful. And I always keep my eyes open for Escapes.

Sounds like an epic trip. Enjoy! Nice to hear you were able to successfully modify your trip despite the wrinkles the closures caused. Would love to see pics.

Check the closing dates at Mesa Verde. I know the ranger led tours ended on August 13, 2016.

I hope this is a typo or a temporary summer cutback - we did the Cliff Palace tour on September 9th, 2018.

Sounds like a great time. We wanted to see the Texas play at Palo Duro Canyon again but it was closed this summer.
