Padawan’s Journey 2

Creation museum more enjoyable for me than Ark. It was good to go, but probably not worth a repeat visit for me. In Bardstown / Elizabethtown looking at some history. Off to Paducah on Thursday to see an aunt.

Last campfire and S’mores of the trip. Can’t see Aunt Ilah. She has been exposed to COVID and is isolating. We’ll still do some Paducah things before cutting across IL and heading into MO. We are camped at Land Between the Lakes.

If you a planning crossing the bridge at Cairo, IL you will enjoy the narrow bridge. It's wide enough for 2 semis but you will know you're on a narrow bridge.

Fort Defiance SP is at the confluence of the Mississippi and the Ohio River are on the other side of the bridge.

We’ve crossed at Cairo 4X’s with RV’s and not enjoyed it any time. This trip we are headed through Cape Girardeau. There’s only so many places to cross the river. .

Short timing on the trip now. We are at Twin Rivers Landing, Lesterville, MO. We go to Lake of the Ozarks tomorrow for a couple of days, and then home. We have a couple of short trips planned with Padawan over the summer, but nothing weeks long until the fall. We got the trailer in October ‘21, and have approximately 120 days and 7000 miles on it. It’s been good.

Home. Next long trip is not until fall. Only short stuff until then. I’ll post the next journey in the fall. In the meantime, if I have time to work on the trailer, I’ll add to my Padawan’s Life thread.
