I just put my deposit in for an Escape 19
I actually did this about a year ago but had to cancel due to personal issues... All is back in order and I will pick up our new trailer on March 15th next year!
I'm curious about options, of course. What are your top 3-5 options you would make sure to order if you ordered again and/or what options did you order last time that you wish you hadn't? I sure appreciate the input! Thanks!
SO EXCITED!

Top three options for us...
... Cold weather insulation package including tank heaters.
... Electric awning.
... Frig with freezer
... Front box. (Oops... That's four.)

If we can't find a used 19' at a reasonable price, we plan on ordering a new one.
Items I want
1. Wife wants the oven for sure
2. AC
3. The bigger fridge
I think anything else I can add on my own later.

Great response, thanks. Just another thought for you. My wife said the same thing about needing a microwave, but she wanted a Convection Microwave... The only convection microwave that I could get Escape to approve to fit was was this one: Contoure Model: RV-190S-CON. I am ordering it online and have communicated the dimensions to Escape and they will build the space to fit. Make sense? Thanks for the input and good luck to you!

Hi SHolderfield, From one NorCal owner to another....Congrats on your new Escape 19! Yes, very exciting indeed! Even though we own a 21, our top 5 items would correlate well to a 19:
1. Thermal everything (for temp and noise control) and a lift kit to protect the foam insulation underneath.
2. Solar and Propane quick connect for a propane generator - for happy dual batteries when off grid.
3. Front bin and extra hatch doors for more and easy access to things outside.
4. Dual hot water heater - the electric mode really does save on propane...
5. Awning style windows - looks and usability in rain is nice...
There are lots more I could list....and tomorrow's list could very well be different from today's list...but this is what comes to mind at the moment. Hope it helps. Wishing you many happy days ahead in your new Escape 19!!!

All depends on your camping style.
Do you like convenience, or are you more a dry camper type of person?

Solar! Where are you going to find someone to install/wire a 190 watt solar panel, with controller for $640 US (or $850 Canadian)? The cheapest install I found was $1,200. This is a no-brainer!
We only got one 170 watt panel from ETI, and for us, it works great! There is an extra connector up top so you can easily add a couple of flexible panels if needed.
AGM Batteries! You don't need to check the water in AGM batteries. I don't even want to think of checking the water in the batteries where they are located in ETI's campers. Then again, I would have to remember to check, and at my age that's less probable every day. AGM's will also charge faster, so it's like having an extra 10-20 watts in your solar panel.
Manual Awning! We sit outside in the rain on rainy days. One time for three days straight! Don't want a pole in the middle of my electric awning to deal with, needed with electric awnings in the rain. And then what if I forgot! If you don't camp in rainy areas, or sit outside in the rain all day, forget this recommendation.
When in Arizona we sometimes wish we had the electric awning, but then when it rained for three days straight that went away. There are pro's and con's to both.
Awning Style Windows Again, we camp in the rain.
That's our four "Musts." The rest would be on our "Wish List."
Enjoy,
Perry

Perfect... these are on the list so far. Am still thinking about the electric awning vs manual. Thanks.

Don’t forget about the little cabinet door underneath the bench in the dinette. It’s so handy

We ordered our E21 pretty well equipped with options. However, the one thing we didn't do that I wish we had is to order the reinforced wall between the refrigerator and dinette area. Would have made mounting the TV bracket easier and provided more location choices. Actually, I wish we had reinforced both walls between cabinets and dinette.

We're not planning on mounting a tv. Is there any other reason to reinforce the walls?

The electric looks better but the manual DOES A BETTER JOB! Had mine through two straight nights of thunderstorms. No problem. Yes I know bad things can happen. I did not see "Shiny wheels" on the list. Surely that is just an oversight that will be correced

Dual batteries, solar, 6 cu fridge, extra insulation, kitchen window and storage box.. We purchased a lot of options, the two I might not get next time are the microwave and two way hot water. My Husband would not agree with giving up those. Each to their own.

Yes, just removed the microwave from our 19, we realized we really don't need it and could use the space. calling Escape to get a door for the opening.
