Black RVs
A few days ago while traveling in Oregon I saw two trailers that had been painted black. One was a Boler in Newport on the coast. The other was a massive fifth-wheel headed north on I-5. Why would anyone paint their trailer black? It seems like the heat would be unbearable.

Sounds like the result of some folks who haven't spent much time in blistering heat, didn't know the effect it would have and maybe even knew but wanted a different look.

Am seeing some black or charcoal colored houses lately too.

BruderX is a brand from Down Under that makes some seriously rugged trailers, and they are black. I'd be hard pressed to say they don't know about heat.

Because, tactical?
Or, maybe, to match the helicopters...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When it comes to personal preference there need be no rhyme or reason beyond "I like it".

Go car-shopping these days, and you'll find that the dealers' lots are full of black, and white, cars, and not much else. Seems that folks want to go back to Henry Ford days ("You can have any color you want, so long as it's black.")
I wish Escape would make their trailers in different colors. Just changing decal colors doesn't really make them distinctive.

I’ve seen some refurbished and repainted bowlers that were at least half black and a good matching color. Thinking about it, I’ve seen black with yellow, red, white and sliver. Two tone bolers look great if the job is well done. College color combinations are good too.
Personally I’m good with white. I like the decals on our Escape and I am always intrigued by
a decal name or an expression on the trailer. Your personal choice is well ……….
your personal choice. Go for it.
