Boot it!!!

Hi: Iowa Dave... Thanks... I haven't got the "Boot" for a long time!!! I see your toppled photo got up righted. No damage then Eh? At least those purple boxes are less likely to leak.
Just when I thought we were getting to normal... along comes "Oh my crony". Alf

LESS IS MORE, grasshopper. Give it up, whatever it is. Nothing is forever, and nothing lasts. And so it goes.
I recently "purged" with a move to a new location. Guess what? All the memorable, necessary things that are gone....are long gone. Don't leave a conundrum of stuff for your survivors to deal with. Go lightly, go quickly, grasshopper.
The irony of it all, is no one can EVER be completely prepared. We try....but good luck with that one. Certainly, there are prudent measures to take....but who was prepared for Covid 19? Not me. Whatever the next BIG next thing coming is..... Covid spike Zeta #5.14?
Bon voyage!

Perhaps you are right. However in several cases Rita and I and our siblings were charged with
Liquidating lifetimes of possessions. We looked at the size of the job and proceeded first with orderly distribution to family, sales, auctions, free to whoever wanted it and trips to the landfill. Takes time, I don’t dwell on it, I enjoy my stuff now and enjoy using things up when I need something I’d have to go purchase if I didn’t have it. Had a good day today and got rid of a couple things that took up space. Have my list of the magnificent seven jobs for tomorrow. Can’t believe this open weather, but won’t complain. Looking forward to next Wednesday and Thursday when my charge will be my 4 year old grandson. He’s a pistol. Told him we’re going out and look at a few beaver dams, check out a friends deer stand and have a little campfire lunch. Hoping for good weather. Glad your downsizing and move worked out for you.
Merry Christmas
Iowa Dave

As the old saying goes, "you can't take it with you." I have yet to see a filled moving van following the hearse to the cemetery.

The hearse does not stop at the bank to make a withdrawal either. And there are no pockets
on a casket. Then there’s the Iowa Hawkeye marching band standard (in polka time) “ In heaven there is no beer.” (That’s why we drink it here). I saw the big exhibit of Egyptian artifacts in the Natural History museum years ago. Fascinating.
