I'm gutted

Found out today that all Costcos that sell propane will stop in the next few weeks. Went to fill up a tank today and the attendant broke the bad news to me.

Well, darn. I hope you find someplace else that's convenient.

I always go to a place the does nothing but propane, even though it's about 7 miles away. Maybe there's a place like that out your way?

Be interesting to see if that happens in Canada as well.

I may have been a little dramatic . There’s a UHAUL near me, I’ll try them.

huh, I don't think I've ever been to a Costco that sells propane. they sell empty tanks here occasionally.

I've mostly been getting my tanks filled at a Union 76 station near me, mainly because they have good service, and are rarely too busy. oh, and their propane prices are reasonable.

Not all Costcos refill propane tanks. Of the 3 in Albuquerque, only one sells the stuff. Yesterday’s price was $2.52 a gallon.

Most of our fills are at Tractor Supply. They’re a nationwide business. I’ve never been turned down when I’ve asked the employee to put the full tanks in our trailer. I’ve only been informed that they will not clamp them down/hook the hoses up.

Enjoy,

Perry

I have only filled a tank once. I did it at Tractor Supply. They seem to be allover.

All three Costcos here refill propane and their price is the best around.
The next time I'm there I'll have to ask if they will be continuing. I hope it's just a US thing.
Tractor Supply stores have been easily found on our travels south of the border.

All the Costco I’ve been to here in Texas only exchange tanks no refilling. I use the local town supplier. Gotta to support our locals as much as possible

Most if not all Tractor Supply stores will refill propane. If you need to find one in your area or when traveling, you can do it here by entering in your zip code:

Yes, TSC is also where I get my dog food. So convenient for me.

I use our local Tractor Supply. Fair price and they don’t make me wait.

Not all Tractor Supply stores have propane, but most do. I ran into one that didn't. It was somewhere in the northeast but I don't remember where. Costcos that had propane were less common. I was hoping they would expand that service and not get rid of it.

Newbie question:

I've filled my BBQ grill tanks before, but haven't needed to fill either tank on my 21C yet. Must I remove the tank from the 21C in order to have it filled, or can it be filled while still mounted to the trailer?

Michael

Portable 20# tanks like those on an Escape would typically be removed and filled just like your BBQ tank.
