Then you've missed the entire point completely. We do NOT discuss politics on this forum, period. That's what makes this thread funny. And as long as we stay off-topic on politics, it'll be fine. Why else would we talk about Zamboni's. They're about as far from travel trailers as one can get

Ah if he buys Greenland it could give good play to the phrase from Survivor; “You’ve been voted off the Island.”

I got your point, my last sentence explains that.

Oh boy. You have some critical catch up work to do, Jim. Maybe start here: https://www.10best.com/interests/foo...about-poutine/
Synopsis: It is one of Canada’s best contributions to world culture and cuisine.
Personally, if we are to ever truly achieve World Peace, I believe that it will happen when all the worlds’ leaders sit down together over a giant collective plate of poutine.

college football, beer and politics
Hello All,
Now college football is a discussion to have on any forum especially if you live in the Southeast, after all our college football here is the best!!!! .
As far as Canadian football, sorry not something I enjoy watching, all these OK movement towards the line of scrimmage by the offense reminds me to much of a flag football game.
Now cold beer is a great topic to discuss, has anyone tried Hazy Little Thing by Sierra Nevada? It has become my favorite .
Just think in 12 days I know what I will be doing most Saturdays for a while. Go DAWGS!!!!!!!!
See not one mention of politics.
Enjoy the journey.
Steve

Not politics. It’s people.
Charles Stratton stopped growing when he was a baby but otherwise continued to develop normally in every other way. At four he was only two feet tall. Older, he met with a fellow who taught him how to sing, dance, swing a cane, and do impersonations. On stage Stratton would hide inside a deep pocket of his manager’s overcoat and then suddenly pop out saying, “Here I am!” The audiences loved it. They toured the country in an early model trailer.
Stratton’s great benefactor and manager was an idea man who had started out in the show business using the dead body of an orangutan, a baboon, and a large salmon all stitched together. He hired naturalists who declared it a verified mermaid. They billed the thing as a mermaid specimen found at the “Fejee Islands”. The “naturalist” was his partner using a different name. Newspapers ate it up. The fraud made good money. They sold woodcuts of the orange-haired creature.
This man lied easily and often. When he wasn’t fabricating he was exaggerating. He welcomed any entanglement that would be noticed in the press, he staged controversies just for press coverage. He routinely inflated and flaunted his wealth, went bankrupt, and gave speeches on “the art of money-getting”. He knew how to relate to an audience, knew they were eager to be conned. He is thought to have coined the phrase, "...a sucker is born every day," but it's not likely.
In his sixties on a European trip with his entourage, his wife, left at home, had died. The showman did not come home until over two months later, after a side trip to London and marrying a twenty-three year old member of his entourage. Toward the end of his life he even toyed with the idea of running for President. He thought the ideal running mate could be someone from Indiana.
You can’t make this stuff up. Who was this man? No, not that guy. His name was P.T. Barnum.

Back to Greenland, if our people offer too low of a price and insult the Danes, mightn't they cut off the supply of Legos and those cookies that Costco sells? I suggest we start a strategic Lego reserve now.
Oh, the horror.
Not worried about beer. I like our not quite local Irish Death.

After Being Banned, Kinder Eggs Are Coming To America Kinder Eggs are coming to the U.S. — legally. The hollow chocolate egg with the toy surprise inside has not been allowed in the states due to a 1930s law banning candy with non-food objects inside, though fans of the European treat have previously smuggled them in.

Haven’t we already seen this movie? In the next scene Robert Duvall is sent to the unwilling seller with a final offer.

Not all of it. Just the parts with the uranium. Oh, and a basket of politicians got thrown in for free, but Russia hasn't carted them off yet (unfortunately).
Too bad we didn't sell Russia the Pabst brewery....
