Gets crazier and crazier

Getting ready to head south where it's warm. 1st time I've been able to dewinterize the water system before I left home here in western MA, in early January. 65 degrees today and close to it tomorrow. Snow and ice is just about gone.

We had ok snow here until the temps hit 50 today with an inch of rain on the way. Gonna talk to Pat about heading to the Tetons early this year where they have had 200" of snow already.

You may have to stay at home where it is warmer than where you are going

We thought of that, unfortunately there are no open campgrounds, I'd have to camp in the back yard.

Lol Steve myself I love the snow it poses no issues for me driving g or towing, it just all the idiots down here that don’t know or understand how to drive in it . Example come to a hill and stop before proceeding up it or thinking they can still do 70 on the road cause they have 4 wheel drive. They make it super dangerous for those of us that understand the proper way to drive in snow and ice

I've yet to meet anyone who drives in the snow that will admit they're a bad driver in the snow! It's always the other guy... As a downhill skier, I spent lots of time driving in the snow/ice. Due to circumstances, I now just stay home when it snows. It's safer for me and I no longer have to worry about the other guy. Fortunately, I live in a city that doesn't get much snow because it's always brutal when it does.

Yes, so true, I refuse to go out in nasty weather to get food but if no beer, I'm gone!

Took off for VT into a huge storm last February that extended up the whole east coast. A normally 6-7 hour drive took 10 hours. Brutal driving conditions with heavy blowing snow. Saw several cars hit the median barriers and a few semi trucks off road. Just took our time. Moderate speeds and AWD/4WD certainly a huge help. There was a price to pay but the skiing was fantastic.

We were driving through Alabama after they received 1” of snow . It was scary and humorous at the same time . It is amazing how a little snow can cause such a large panic

One of the big differences is that in the snow belt we have the equipment to handle the snow and the people who know how to operate it .
Ever wonder how the snow plow driver gets to work ?

One advantage to being a hoarder is that I rarely run out, especially of anything essential. The negative is the time I have to spend rotating my stock. When you’ve had a bottle so long that the cork disintegrates when you open the bottle, you know you have failed. On the other hand you probably have some fine cloth somewhere that you can pour the liquid through to purify it.
And you no doubt have a nice glass decanter with a glass top to prevent further complications when you need a belt. Snow coming here today. Only have a couple inches on the ground now. Won’t plug the tractor in till I know I’ll need it. Electrical conservation.

I'm in shorts and t-shirt right now, window is open and it is 72 outside in the sun, unbelievable for January weather...thinking of getting the bar-b-que out for dinner.

I grew up in Minot, ND. I know some of you had the pleasure of serving in the Air Force there, and I had the pleasure of going to school with your children. The "Base Kids" were good for the schools. They brought us more diverse world views than we would have had otherwise. That said, it was always dangerous driving the first couple of snowfalls as people from Oklahoma, Mississippi, Texas, etc. experienced their first snowfall, and didn't understand how long it might take them to stop or turn.
