I’m posting and camping as I wait for the two ladies I’m camping with to
1.Finish hair and makeup.
2. Finish their. Coffee
3. Come out of the antique mall
4. Decide what we’re going to have for the next meal
5. Straighten up the camper
Gives me adequate time to
1. Talk to the other folks in the CG
2. Watch birds
3. Do my camping jobs outside
4. Take another nap
5. Play with the dog
5. Check my beer and peanut butter supply
7. Post on the internet
Life must have a balance

I just enjoyed a toasted slice of Dave's Killer Bread, Powerseed, with a slathering of Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter Creamy and a nice drizzle of Local Honey.

Got Milk?

Hi: Iowa Dave... On balance I like smooth and creamy store brand. Stiff is OK in some cases but not PB. Alf

Maybe in an emergency and only if dogs aren't around. But I HAVE used peanut butter to removed pine pitch from the hood and roof of my truck. The oilier the peanut butter the better and it really does work! PS so does mayonnaise but that's for another thread

When we were kids, some brat on the school bus stuck a wad of chewing gum in my sister’s hair. Mom used peanut butter to get it out.

Edit: I should probably mention the brand of peanut butter since that’s the goal of the thread. Haha. I’m pretty sure it was creamy Skippy. That’s what was in the pantry growing up. I don’t know what brand of chewing gum the brat favored.

Speaking of peanut butter, our Number One Son Andy makes his own. Unfortunately he lives in the Sacred Valley in Peru, so we can't taste it. But he sells it, and reportedly the villagers are quite fond of it. He uses some kind of grinder he bought here in the States.

I’m not goofing off. Just taking occasional breaks as I finish trimming out my solar panel and mini-split install. My wife gave me a May 1 deadline. Yikes!! Back to work.

Justin's started out as a small company, had some success and was bought by Hormel. Hormel also owns Skippy. Jiff is owned by JM Smucker. Still a family run business but a huge one, They started in jelly and preserves. Conagra Brands owned Peter Pan for many years but sold in 2021 to Post Holdings. Post stood up a new brand structure called Animated Brands that has Peter Pan in its portfolio and plans to add other brand acquisitions. By the way, if you want to use PB on your wheel bearing, make sure it's plain creamy. Not chunky and not honey roast. :-)

Forgot to add that the largest private label (think store label, Kirkland, Sam's, etc) is Golden Boy Foods, who was also acquired by Post Holdings a few years back. They have 4 peanut butter factories (two in Canada, one in GA and one in AL) and a nut butter (almond, cashew, etc) plant in Blaine, WA - last offramp before Canada. Private label sales are huge, making them the #3 seller of PB in the country.

Milk with PB&J is good, but have you tried tea? I have found that a cup of tea pairs really well with that sandwich. Sometimes I'll have black tea, and sometimes a cup of green matcha (finely powdered tea leaves).

Good for him! He has a little enterprise started. I wonder if the locals were familiar with peanut butter before he came along; do you know?

If you're camping with two ladies instead of one, I'd say that fact right there might be putting your life out of balance! Personally, I find that camping alone is quite refreshing, but YMMV.

I don't think anyone has posted this classic do-wop number, by The Marathons (1961):

I see popcorn on the youtube image. I ike peanut butter popcorn, but that does work best with creamy, so there are a few uses for something besides chunky.
