bunk beds
Hoping to order a new 2017 19ft Escape on the 1st. Question - has anyone ordered bunk beds instead of the permanent queen? Not sure if that custom option would even be available.

Cool idea- which might possibly be better by reversing the floorplan.

The Build Sheet that Reece posted last week has it still listed as an option:
Cot, $300
Cot Ready, $50
They need to permanently install brackets or some such to the walls at the time of build, so I imagine that's the Cot Ready option. And then a separate $300 for the cot itself.
In case you missed it, here's that post:

The queen bed area of the 19' has three fairly large windows and I would think it would be almost impossible to install any type of bunk beds (are you looking for two queen-sized bunks?). I'm with Rossue, a better option would be to do a reverse floor plan with the dinette in the rear and the bunks set up in the front of the trailer.

Ooo, just realized I was thinking of the brackets for the gaucho bunk in the 17' trailer, so what I said might not apply to the 19. Sorry about that. But the build sheet does list cot and maybe someone knows exactly what that means.
Stupid brain farts!

The bunk bed option is available on the 19' model, in the front only. The rear size is way to large for the bed supports to adequately support 200# whereas the front, being narrower spreads the load better.

Just to be clear, are you looking for a bunk bed in the front or rear?
In the front you could just go with the Escape option, just so long as it is for a kid, or very light adult. If it is in the rear, it would be more difficult with the larger windows. There it would be easy enough to do a custom aftermarket bunk, with support down to the queen bed platform.
Remember, nothing needs to be decided when you place your order, it can all be figured out by the time the build sheet is due much later.
