Front Bed 19 escape?
Just wondering, has anyone asked about a front bed with a rear dinette on the 19 escape? You back the trailer up and views are great at rear.

I think the last I read the conversion made the price of a nineteen nearly equal that of a 21. Whether the factory is still doing these I do not know. But they are out there and it’s been done in the past.

There have been quite few instances where I missed having the front dinette view I had in my 19. So many places we have parked out the back end against trees. I like trees, but......
Regardless of dinette location, the best view is still outside for me. [emoji4]

Back Dinette
We have a "reversed" 19, a 19 with a convertible dinette in the back. We wouldn't have it any other way. We think looking out the back feels more like being "in" the campsite than looking out the front at the tow vehicle. To each, his own. We do convert the dinette to a bed and keep it that way unless needing it to be a dinette requires we change it back. We try to do as much as we can outside to keep conversions to a minimum. However, conversions aren't a big deal, takes less than 5 min. We stow the bedding on the front bed when we need the dinette. Furthermore, we don't mind sleeping in separate places together. I go to bed earlier, she likes to sit up and read. Finally, we never wanted to have to do the "craw-over" in the middle of the night for those necessary trips. For us, it works!

The front dinette area in an Escape 19 is 44 inches wide. That's closer in width to a twin than even a full size bed. Your best option would be a 21NE with dual dinettes Then use the 56 inch wide front dinette with a regular mattress as your bed.

What's preventing anybody from sitting at the front dinette and looking out the back window?

Those changes are available from ETI for the 19 through their “Easter Egg” options.
So you can convert the front dinette to a permanent bed and/or convert the rear permanent bed to a regular or u-shaped dinette. Current cost for each is $Cdn700.
So many choices…

The front dinette area on the Escape 19 is only 44 inches wide. An 'Easter Egg' can't change that. Escape can't move the door opening. If you want your bed just slightly larger than a twin bed you're good.

Right. Having the dinette in the back gives us a much larger dinette. It's a great space for playing board games with friends when the weather is poor. On one occasion we had six comfortably seated. Tight but, comfortable.

Here is a 21 NE a great pair of ambassadors let use see. They have front and rear dinettes with the rear table divided into three equal sections. Great idea for lounging!
They did not have the table bases mounted and they convert the front area for sleeping. The three piece rear setup is an amazing idea. It serves as a side table for drinks, an ottoman using the extra cushions they had made and it can convert to a bed for guests.
The interior felt HUGE!

Nothing, technically, but it's not as expansive a view as most would prefer.

Because we have the cot option we couldn't raise the floor and the windows are higher and hover well over the seating. I'm barely 5'4" and I can only look at the sky or awning; the surrounding scenery is not in view. We don't sit that much at the table, except when having our morning coffee. If weather permits we usually eat outside.

Our used 2017 19 came with both a front and rear dinette so we have the option of having it set up either way. Its nice but we usually us the rear area to sleep unless I'm camping solo. The front bed is a lot smaller than the rear area as stated in other posts.
