Heading home to warmth, we hope.

Walk through finished. Heading south in a few minutes.

And, yes it is very cold in Chilliwack.

Sweet looking trailer you've got there!

Are you going to attempt I-5 or will you quickly return along 101?

We did I5.

It was clear until it wasn’t. North of Eugene, it went from clear and 60 mph to an immediate ice field with no signs, troopers, The only hint was the sudden appearance of a large pack of tractor trailers stopped all over the highway with several jackknifed and others slid off the shoulders.

We drifted a bit before engaging 4WD but managed to keep our 😎. Took 5 hours to get to Roseburg. Slept in the Walmart RV park(ing) lot.

Glad that you're safe. Hope that the rest of your trip home is uneventful!

As you know Bob, we escaped the cold weather in Lanesboro and are now in Daingerfield State Park in Texas. I see it was -10 F in Lanesboro this morning, but it was much warmer, 19 F this morning at our campsite, with the high projected to be a balmy 37 F this afternoon, and then cold rain projected for the next few days.

Hope to see you and Deb this winter, if the gods allow you to leave your home. We excited to see your new 23!

Enjoy,

Perry

Glad to hear that things got warmer. The ETI staff were walking around bundled up like the Michelin man.

37F! Hope you guys packed your swimsuits for tanning. We are thinking that the stars might line up to be able to break away and meet up sometime between now and Kellogg.

We actually got home on Tuesday after two nearly 500 mile days and way too much ice.

Thinking the trailer prefers the trailer port to the highway from hell.

That's an interesting port—did you build it from scratch, or was it from a kit?

A kit. Bought it from Steelmasters based in Canada about 4 years ago. I built it with help of a very tall friend. Should have used 2-3 more friends, but we got it together with scaffolding and perseverance.

They have since established a US office. If you want a contact person, let me know.
