I think I just got lucky - Price Increase
I received an email today regarding Escape's mid year price increase.
It says:
"The following customers are exempt from this price change:
Customers who have already signed off on their build sheets.
Customers who have recently been sent their configuration email and have returned their options sheet. "
We signed ours yesterday.

Yep, just got the email announcement. My completion date isn’t until 2024, so I’m sure there will be several more price increases between now and then. Just not worth it anymore, so I’m out.

Still probably a few months away from being able to sign off on our build, but looking at the base price increase and the increases on the A/C and storage box options has probably just priced us out of what we are comfortable paying.
Disappointing, but not unexpected.

I wasn't so lucky when I did my build sheet last fall... I got blindsided by the last price increase ..by a few days... and then again at the delivery price increase...

Yeah, we signed ours the day before the last price increase. It felt a bit like I had just dodged a bullet!
Given the frequency of increases, it seems that it's worthwhile to sign the build sheet as early in the configuration phase as you can!

Just a quick run through of the new price list on their site my setup is now $4,000 USD more.
I sure hope I'm good. I sent Escape an email to confirm.

Ouch! That's in the ballpark of a 10% increase.

I think a few more price increases before you get to submit your build sheet are in your future. This economy is crazy!

It's almost comical how fast prices are changing. In my work price increases are out of control as well.
Crazy Times!

Sorry to hear; same thing has happened with people trying to buy Ford Transit Vans to convert. They ordered In 2022 and their order doesn't get built and then get no price protection for a 2023. Obviously sucks. Best wishes going forward.

This situation is getting very ugly... Would be nice to know what something costs when you order it... Those days are gone...

Also, couldn’t find the “cancel order” button they used to have on the website. It was a single click and your deposit got refunded. I emailed with my order number to cancel and I really hope I get a confirmation of refund within the next day or two.

I have a tentative delivery date in the second week of August. I have been waiting for this price increase knowing it's coming. It will be a group of people that for number of reasons will backout and others will move up. I have been watching this dance for 18 months. :

I’m sure the decisions are hard. Our E19 would be 11K more than we paid in Sept ‘21. I’m sure we would have backed out. It’s too bad, but at some point, no matter how good the product is, it just gets to be too much for some.

Yes, they are. And I don’t care how many people say it’s “supply chain issues,” or this or that…I think there is a whole lot of greed going on. I’d really like to know how these huge increases have benefited the day to day workers at Escape? You know, the people who actually put your trailer together? I sure hope they’ve at least seen a significant raise with all these price increases. I work in the medical field and while hospitals were crying poor mouth at the height of Covid, upper management was taking home generous salaries and bonuses in the millions. The nurses, housekeeping, dietary, and respiratory therapists, the people who actually did the work, were told “no raises, pay cuts, cutting your hours to nothing, benefits docked…” It’s really quite sickening.
