Kate, that's called a profile picture. You can set it by editing your profile. Look for the link at the top left for User CP (control panel). If you're using Tapatalk on mobile, you can just click on the symbol by your name and change it directly.

Robert ... I really like your new profile picture .... seems to project a good 'feel' for Escape traveling / camping. Nice!

NO. It's not a profile picture, that's DIFFERENT.

That's an Avatar Kate. As I mentioned in your other thread, your pic must be resized to no larger than 120x120 pixels before upload.
Go to your UserCP
Click Edit Avatar
Follow the menu prompts

On the left side of the green bar near the top of the screen, click on "User CP" then look at the menu along the left side of the screen for "Edit Profile Picture". (Oops! Just saw Donna D's post. Now I'm confused between avatar and profile photo. I haven't done either, so now I need to check out both.)

Okay, Avatar shows with your user name when you post. Profile photo can be different and is shown only within your profile information. Is that right?

Thanks for the correction Donna. I'm used to using the mobile app too much. There, you can just edit the photo and it will autosize it for you. My current one is huge but I was able to make it my avatar without resizing.
And while we're on the subject of avatars, when are you going to change yours to one that looks like you? Wait, don't. I'm so used to seeing your current one I might not know who you were if you changed it!
I like Jim's too.

I've been using that goofy avatar since 2002 when I first logged into FiberglassRV and the CasitaForum. Now I use it everywhere. My way of being incognito

Other than Donna's hair might have been close to that colour at one time, it doesn't look anything like her.

It stays at the top of the forum page, rather than getting mixed in with the rest of the threads.

It is instructions or information on how to do something that many people want to know so it is placed up top.

If you want to know what Donna looks like, find a 5.0TA w/an F150 (the profile photo), right next to an Escape 21 with the smell of fresh-baked goodies emanating from inside; Donna will be close by!
