Inspired by Dave Walter's incredible story, I have the uncontested, number 1 thing you can do for your Escape: Enjoy it. Screw all the fancy gizmos, doodads and expensive upgrades. Just hitch that trailer up and go places. Get a patina on it and maybe a few stickers. That is the best thing you can do for these amazing trailers. Use them.

During a few spare minutes on our last camping trip I mounted a paper towel holder above the galley. It is the kind that has detents for friction so it doesn't unroll in transit. I've seen it used by others ppl here so I guess it's popular for trailers.
The cupboard face is a single layer of plywood so it was totally easy to mount a 1" x 2" backing strip, mount it in place with wood glue, let it dry overnight then mount the paper towel holder in the morning.
It's not mounted cockeyed, that's just the way the paper towel is hanging.

I thought about hanging ours there but worry about cabinet door interference. Are you able to completely open the cabinet? Thanks.

I did a test fit first to make sure the door would open and to position the holder at the right height. I just held it up in my hand with paper towel on it to find a suitable position before deciding on the final spot.
There are no interference issues at all.

https://holdenart.com/collections/po...r-towel-holder

FWIW, this one worked well for me:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0024AKCTS
I installed it under the cabinet (over the sink) with a combination of double sided tape, and a couple of wood screws. Seems to be holding well so far without anything more substantial to hold it in place.

You can search Amazon for “under cabinet towel holder”.
There are many to choose from.
The ones that say “ratcheting “ prevent unraveling.

We bought it a few years ago but we just started using the trailer again so I installed it recently.
I don't recall where we got it but I'll ask the wife. I've seen others on the forum with the same one, that may be where we got the idea.
I mounted it above the galley because there is single-layer facing board up there and I could easily use a backer for the screws.
It is the "ratcheting" kind that won't unwind.

That's the kind we got, too. Works well. I installed ours under the cabinet (over the sink), using a couple of machine screws and washers.
We take the paper roll off when traveling, as it can slide off with bumps.

Yesterday my buddy and I "flipped" the axles on my 2015 5.0TA to gain more clearance over my truck and level the trailer.
I have the older style beam axles with leaf springs so couldn't use the typical lift kit.
Here you can see the front axle in the original position above the springs and the rear axle in the new position below the springs
The final result

I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Mounted under cabinet between range hood and light. Good fit, out of the way but handy. Lower cost, don't see it anyway.. Hardest part was marking it to get mounting accuracy (to ensure clearance). 4 screws, easy-peasy.

Two days ago I had Line-X bed spray put on the front lower half of my 17A as a rock guard. Even though I have ETI's front storage box, it doesn't provide complete protection. During the first year of ownership there are already lots of gel-coat pits in the lower front corners and along the sides. Nothing serious but over time it could get ugly.
I did look into those big mud flaps other have used successfully, felt like it would be big hassle taking them on and off. I boon-dock a lot, usually in one spot for several day and drive around looking for scenery to photograph. Just my preference, but I always remove the hitch ball and that hitch shank is where the big mud flaps attach. The Line-X, is more expensive than the big mud flaps but I'm happy with it. I already have Weatherteck mud flaps but my tires still seem to throw lots of rocks. Usually the worst situation is pulling of a dirt road onto a paved one and having to accelerate quickly due to traffic. I'm sure some pitting occurs just from driving on dirt roads but most of the time I don't go faster than about 15mph so not a lot of rocks get kicked up.

Most of these this spring, many in the last year.....
Added pipe wrap to hot water lines I could reach under bed; Added Reflectix around outer wall under bed; Added double layer Reflectix on every box coming thru outer wall, including water heater, under bed & sink; Added slide-out drawer under sink which required an elbow add on external faucet box; Added external coax entry and cable to TV + USB power line; Filter on furnace intake inside; milk crate drawers under bed; Ratcheting Paper towel holder next to range hood; Accumulator tank by water pump; Drawer under closet; Awning lock; Trailer light plug to back receiver hitch attached at connector block under bed; Under sink drawer - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Added lights in most cabinets using these -https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075LB9HK2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Used in hatch areas and preparing to install in closet shelving (expect I can get 12V under furnace area).

More mod pics from previous list...
8 pics is max.....Was able to maximize drawer width compared to factory install, used under drawer slide as opening is not square in closet - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Built three shelves into closet then, all from scratch parts I had. $11 for drawer slide was all those cost. Neighbor had just finished maple backsplash, leftovers made perfect drawer & shelf fronts. Plastic drawers are https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1, PERFECT fit for depth & width. I just added hooks to back of two so pulling one out pulls the other out too, then can unhook and remove. Elbow under sink https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The plastic drawers only work in top & bottom as the door latches interfere on middle one. Have other plastic box 'drawers' there, already available (use what ya got!).

Hi Camp@Home. I've got one of those RV Awning Locks and they're a great idea. However, on the last day of my recent trip the pin you pulled down to release the lock came all the way out. After I got home I found that a set screw at the top spring retainer was loose. If that happens to you, just remove the Phillips screw on the barrel and the whole mechanism pulls out. There was no blue thread lock on the set screws so I put some on during reassembly.

I'm interested in the accumulator tank. It's a bit hard to tell from the small photo what parts you used. Was it complicated to instal?
Do you have link for the awning locks? They seem to fit perfectly. I see your trailer is relatively new. I wonder if they would fit the awning on my 2015.
Thanks

Lyle, I had to adapt the lock to my awning, this is the closest they had. I decide it would work better for me on the back of my '19, but you could discuss with the manufacturer about what they might think would work best from what they have. Interestingly for me, the inventor/manufacturer/shipper is in NW IA and has a distributor in Cedar Rapids near me (saved $4.50 shipping!). Find out more here: Save Your RV Awning with an RV Awning Travel Lock!.
The accumulator tank turned out to be a LOT easier than any videos//instructions. BUT, my '22 '19 had the faucet supply hose seen in pic that screwed right on to the accumulator from pump. Then was able to attach the nipple adapter that came with it to the accumulator output, the other nipple screwed onto the factory supply where the faucet supply hose had connected to connect hose again. Also the new tank screwed right into the wall there, all was much quicker and easier than expected. Couple other pics might help. I did decide to wrap the new output hose in duct tape as it was translucent (help prevent mold, is what I had already).
