Yes, we were just about to depart last Thursday for a 25 Jan orientation when we got an email saying there was a problem with the cabinet doors. Fortunately it was identified before we got underway. So new orientation is the 30th and we're excited!!!

Dave, We may see you up there. The 30th is about when we plan our ETI visit. We will camp in Eugene and make the dash up for a couple of days to finalize our build sheet and order counters and flooring when there is good weather.

Our orientation is scheduled for 8 am so hopefully we'll see you! We'll probably be a bit distracted and overwhelmed with info and such so be sure to catch our attention and break us out of our trance like state!

Dora said she wanted shelves in our closet. So guess what...she got shelves.
Thanks to Craig Vail for the idea and the support!

Hi Chris & Patricia,

I got them at Lowe's. Each box includes 2 shelves and brackets. I ditched the brackets and used some 1x2 boards to secure them to the closet.

Fred, how did you attach the boards? Screws? If so, what size?

Those look great, Fred. Another job well done, especially given you are doing your work on the road.

One thing to consider, would be to have these mods in a thread of their own, so that they could be found easier by others when searching, as this is definitely something that some would find very interesting. Just a thought.

Finally on the road for our orientation on Monday the 30th! First 270 miles are behind us as of 9:15 am. The trip started out with a bit of an incident. We had passed a pickup about 40 miles from home and were about 150 yards in front of him when I noticed he had moved to the left lane and then started swerving. Within seconds he was all over I-10 and then disappeared into the median. A truck going the other way stopped to assist him and we called 911. Hope he made it OK - looked like he must have fallen asleep. Drive safe everyone!

Those shelves look like they were made exclusively for the trailer. Good work, Fred.

Red Dog > Love Your Trailer

We have very similar taste. We pick up our 21' from Escape July 2017. Makes me feel really good about our selections seeing how beautiful yours looks.

Best,

Lisa

Nice job my friend!!! I guess Dora will get the top two shelves or three since there appears to be a little more room on the top one.

Dash from California into Oregon

I am preparing for our dash from the California bay area to Eugene Oregon next Saturday/Sunday/Monday, pulling our 17 ft Casita. Unfortunately we can't leave earlier. I've been watching the weather forecasts in Mt Shasta (the town). It's looking like 5- 8 inches of snow each night. So now I'm looking at going up Hwy 101 with an overnight in the Eureka area. On Hwy 101 is there a stretch of highway where the weather is the worst and I should be watching? All the towns I've checked look like rain, but no snow. I would also appreciate any advise from those that know the area.
